Thank you for your interest in giving to Vanderbilt.

Alumni, parents and friends give to Vanderbilt in a variety of ways including checks, credit cards, electronic fund transfers and gifts of stocks and securities or other assets.

You can easily make your contribution to Vanderbilt by choosing any of the following giving options.

Give Online

To make a one-time or recurring gift online, use our secure online gift form. Vanderbilt accepts all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) as well as digital wallets, including PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Cash App.

Give By Mail

To mail your gift, print our giving form to include with your check or money order.

  • Donor Advised Fund

    Immediate tax deductions and tax-free growth on the contribution are often key benefits for those making gifts through a donor advised fund. DAF Direct enables donors to recommend grants to Vanderbilt University, directly from the DAF (as long as the DAF’s sponsoring organization is participating).

    To initiate a gift to Vanderbilt University from your Donor Advised Fund, please use the following tax-ID for the university: 62-0476822.

  • Electronic Bank Form

    To set up an electronic bank draft, call Vanderbilt Gift and Donor Services at (800) 288-0082 or use our printable electronic bank draft form.

  • Foundation Relations

    Foundation Relations is available to help you identify philanthropic and corporate foundation funding opportunities and assist you with the proposal process in collaboration with your leadership team.

  • IRA Charitable Rollover

    Donors age 70½ or older may give up to $100,000 directly from an IRA to qualified charities without paying federal income tax on the distribution. Donors may choose to make a qualified charitable distribution from an IRA to make a gift to support Vanderbilt or to fulfill an existing pledge.

  • Matching Gifts

    Many employers have matching gift programs that could double or even triple your gift.

  • Stocks & Securities

    Gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares can be a tax-advantaged way to provide support for Vanderbilt.
