Dear fellow Commodores,
Another academic year is here, and I can’t wait to see what it holds for our 350 Vanderbilt student-athletes. You can impact the success of our program by making a gift to the National Commodore Club. When you give, you provide scholarships and other resources for our student-athletes. Our ultimate goals are to prepare our student-athletes to succeed in life after graduation and to win championships. With your support, we will be able to continue our work toward this mission.
In 2016–17, our student-athletes shined in the classroom and in competition. Several examples are listed below.
As an NCC member, you not only affect our ability to win team championships, you also make a difference in the lives of individual student-athletes like recent graduates Luke Kornet and Kate Sborov. Luke became Vanderbilt’s first-ever men’s basketball SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year and signed a two-way contract with the Knicks, and Kate exceled on the golf course and in her medicine, health and society coursework. She was part of the first Vanderbilt immersion class offered in emergency medicine and plans to attend medical school. I invite you to make a gift online today so we can continue recruiting the best and brightest student-athletes.
Thank you for your support of Vanderbilt Athletics. I look forward to another great year for the Commodores!
